Take Me Out won the Tony for Best Play in 2002, and it is one of the things that Jesse Williams is doing instead of suffering through this current absolutely wretched season of Grey’s Anatomy, and he clearly made the right call; it got an excellent review in the NYT. How exciting that everyone is out getting to go to the theatre again — and, indeed, opening night got a pretty starry audience, including some folks whose faces we haven’t seen in a while, as well as one face we’re more used to seeing in The Gilded Age.
