In which Florence Pugh continues to take the note that sleeker can be better, Lewis Pullman continues to delight me with his color palette, Geraldine Viswanathan continues to overcomplicate things in distracting ways, Julia Louis-Dreyfus continues to deploy foxiness, Wyatt Russell continues with gentle labrador energy, director Jake Schreier continues to be sort of anonymous to me and in fact I think this is the first time I have even shown him, and Hannah John-Kamen… just continues. I am not clear on her exact aesthetic in general, but I would not have predicted what appears to be a shirt worn over ANOTHER shirt, with a coat on top. It looks better than it sounds; maybe “Oh, just wear it all” is her real-life superpower. But she also maybe shouldn’t test that again.
