The fashion calendar is as chaotic as everything else right now. For a while, some designers stepped backward so that they were no longer presenting six months ahead of the season, but in a right-here-right-now time frame (so, Ralph Lauren debuting Fall 2019 in actual fall 2019, or what have you). And then here we have Monique Lhuillier, who delivered Fall 2022 in early December, months earlier than most, and with Fall 2021 still faintly visible in our rearview mirrors. I just don’t always think to look for these outliers, but I found it by accident, and here we are. Monique stopped doing runway shows a while back in favor of these kinds of photo presentations, so at least she was ready for the pandemic moment.
