Set photos from The Devil Wears Prada 2 are this summer’s version of And Just Like That pics. Keep them coming, because I think we are all really enjoying expressing our constant concern that this movie will be terrible. Miranda/Meryl looks much better here — that outfit is a lot more composed than the first one we got a peek of, and the red shoes seem like a winky nod to the original book’s cover. Andy Sachs looks crazy, of course. Those are really bland white cotton pants, and then her sweater has a half-train that I guess doubles as a sanitary cover for her butt, and the two whites do not MATCH so the trousers simply look dingy. Also, I can’t imagine working all day at a magazine in FULL white; it’s just asking for someone to dump a coffee all over you, or for you to fall in a puddle while you are running after your boss waving around some important papers:
There is something very depressing about this character being back in a place in her life where she’s chasing Miranda Priestley around for ANY reason. And I didn’t even LIKE her character. But this outfit is berserk. If those pants were not $14.99 at Old Navy, I don’t want to hear it.
Presumably this is a “before” photo. But it’s actually better.
