It’s not a huge surprise that so many people wore Gucci, or the Gucci x Dapper Dan collaboration, given that Alessandro Michele was one of the hosts of this year’s Met Gala. But it was fun to observe.

While I’m here, Elle had an interesting interview this week with Dapper Dan about his work with Gucci and the Met Gala in general, and Vogue spoke to KiKi Layne about choosing to wear Gucci to the Met after making the last minute choice not to wear them to the Oscars in the wake of their blackface sweater fiasco. (She still looked amazing at the Oscars, in custom Versace, for what it’s worth.) If you’ve got the time, those pieces are both worth your while.
