Timothee Chalamet didn’t walk the red carpet, and didn’t even seem to make it to the venue of the Critics Choice Awards until about 5:15 p.m., an hour and 15 minutes after it started. I haven’t yet seen why, but we decided it’s because he forgot to check the start time on the invitation and didn’t realize it started at 4 p.m. Plus, I guess, weather-related traffic and… general sluggishness? Who knows. It seems like a weird beginning to what many assume is a victory lap of an awards season for Marty Supreme; personally, while I can’t deny his skill in the movie, I am hoping Ethan Hawke or Michael B. Jordan can play spoiler at least once.
