Do you ever read those articles in Allure, wherein someone sits down with a celebrity and goes though all her notable red carpet looks and the celebs comments — generally either, “Oh, I loved that dress,” or “Jeez, I don’t know what I was thinking”? I feel like you could show this to Mandy today and she’d say, “Jeez, I don’t know what I was thinking.” I suspect it’s totally possible that this is one of those numbers that is GREAT in person and kind of Sad Trombone in pics, but from this side of the camera, it reminds me of color swatches for a series of top-of-the-line 1970s kitchen appliances. I knows This Is Us is a partial period piece, but come on!
