The coolest thing about Louis Vuitton’s show was the runway, designed to look like a patchwork of trunks, and which elevated itself before the show began. The rest of it is the usual jumbled mess of contradictory silhouettes and patterns, which is not inherently bad, but it is when everything is so CROWDED and CLUTTERED. As with everything, I’m sure there are some isolated pieces and ideas that could work with careful curation, but as a show? None of this ever feels like VISION so much as a migraine-induced hallucination.
