The Venice Film Festival sits between Cannes and Toronto (albeit much closer to TIFF), and as such gets a bit lost between those two splashier and more sprawling-seeming events. I always forget it’s happening until suddenly celebs are dashing on and off boats like it’s no big deal, which always delights and confuses me. Obviously I should go back there soon to do an investigative report on boats and footwear, yes?
