Based on a True Story is a Peacock joint from Jason Bateman that I assume is part-comedy, at least? It’s about a woman whose obsession with true crime gets her husband, and… her hot plumber?!?… entangled in a murder investigation. The fact that Hot Plumber is being singled out as such says to me that maybe he’s either the victim or the perpetrator. Apologies to real-life hot plumbers who are not involved in homicide.
