Vogue’s write-up of this one is pretty interesting — apparently, the coral motif here was inspired by a customer’s love of a piece he made in 2011 with that motif, which she wore until it fell apart, and he cited as another influence the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton flop Boom!, in which he correctly notes that Liz’s wardrobe is fab. This is always one of my favorite shows and I am always banging on about people needing to wear his stuff more often. Unless we forgot to tag it, I THINK the most recent sighting was Mindy Kaling back in March. Get on it, Hollywood!
