I appreciate that Isabelle Huppert swept into this film festival looking like the chic, intellectual editor-in-chief of some brilliant French magazine that’s full of long articles about, like, the secret underbelly of lavender farming, and also great advice about how to trim your own bangs. This is your boss who always gives you actually constructive criticism and a real raise, and whose personal life is a REAL mystery to all her employees as she’s always accompanied at work events by a different sexy person. She also has several living ferns in her office and maybe once dated a prince. She has great stationary and can tie scarves and she never reads her work email on the weekends. Goals.
