I’m so curious about the genesis of this ensemble. Did Julianne know it was sheer? Did the flashbulbs surprise her? Because I look at the fabric, and the way it so calculatedly changes right at her crotch, and cannot IMAGINE that it wasn’t the kind of thing you could know just from holding the garment, or donning it in front of your bathroom mirror with your lights on. It almost looks like a dress made out of a very muted version of those novelty tees with a bra and underwear painted onto it. Like she’s at the funeral of the person who first had that idea, and wanted to pay on-the-nose respects.
