We tragically don’t have the photo, but Iris van Herpen collaborated with a French champion skydiver named Domitrille Kiger to wear one of her couture creations a mile high during one of her aerial performances, and it is AMAZING. It was meant to represent woman and our sense of adventure; the other looks were inspired by a photo of Earth from space, and use recycled plastics. It’s so interesting, and that one shot really makes you wish all red carpets were just people hurling themselves out of planes. I mean… safety first, obviously, but it’s so cool. Talk about taking modeling to another level.
