I did wonder whether Elena would hang up her wig-hats or return to us when Cannes did. In lieu of a film fest last year, we did a bunch of flashbacks, including a gallery of her past exploits there; it made me wonder whether, in the vein of “If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound,” Elena simply powered down for the year or if she amused herself by doing her hair like this just to sit at home and stream Love Island. The good news is, her mojo has returned — and we have bonus MacDowell, Kruger, and Huppert for you too.
