First of all, I have seen a LOT of ads for Acrimony, the movie in which Ajiona stars with Taraji P. Henson (as the young Taraji, in fact), during all the many Real Housewives programs I watch. And I am not ashamed to note that I totally am going to watch it on a plane, as it looks extremely entertaining to me. It’s about…spoiler…an acrimonious divorce. Actually, its Wikipedia entry makes me very happy. It reads:
Melinda Gayle, a faithful wife (Taraji P. Henson) tired of standing by her devious husband (Lyriq Bent) is enraged when it becomes clear she has been betrayed. Melinda finds out that her husband gets engaged to another woman, and loses control and all hell breaks loose.
I suspect that plot synopsis was written by a fan and not the professionals at Tyler Perry Studios, but I enjoy it regardless. She loses control and all hell breaks loose and from what I can tell from the commercials, HER DEVIOUS HUSBAND DESERVES IT. Whenever this ad comes on, I am transfixed by how enjoyable it looks. Taraji is just an incredibly watchable woman. HOWEVER: I am also transfixed by my own acrimony toward this dress on Ajiona! She is so pretty! She is ALMOST making this work! But it’s a Glamour Fashion Don’t Bar dress, in that it has a Don’t Bar built into it. NO ONE can overcome the Don’t Bar.
