PLEASE do not ask me how I missed this tremendous shot of Olivia De Havilland leaving the Dorchester Hotel in London (“for a dinner date with British prime minister Edward Heath”) when I put together our look back at her on the sad occasion of her death earlier this summer. She looks amazing, this is a fantastic rainbow caftan, and her metallic shoes are perfect. This photo was surely in the center of the inspiration board for Endora from Bewitched — as, indeed, it is now on mine.
