Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen have a new movie together called The Good Liar, which looks like some sort of psychological dance between a swindler and the mark he’s beginning to care about — which, a la Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I hope ends in her conning the con man, because Helen Mirren should always win. Anyway, I enjoy that La Mirren has swerved from big ball gowns straight into something simpler; she is embracing her versatility. This Goat dress is nothing I would ever pledge my heart to, but she is giving it sass, and she IS the GOAT, so that feels synergistic at least?
