To head this off at the pass: The folks working on America’s Got Talent aren’t on strike — the WGA does not (unfortunately, in many ways) generally encompass reality programming, even though folks working on said programming are crafting story and doing things like writing voice overs.* That is a long story but regardless: This is not a situation where anyone is scabbing, so feel free to reflect on Heidi’s jumpsuit in peace. This whole thing feels like Your Eccentric Rich Aunt Who Lives in Laguna And Has Questionable Taste In Art And Is Very Tan Comes Over For Brunch, and…turns out I might want to be that rich aunt.
