First, it goes without saying that little Kaavia James Union Wade over there is, as usual, a mood and a completely adorable one. (I’d also be interested in seeing her dress in an adult size because it’s very cute.) She’s certainly stealing focus here. AS IT SHOULD BE. And Dwyane looks dashing and well-coordinated with his family.
But let’s focus on Gabrielle:
I shall never endorse those shoes (that’s a lie, I’m sure I’ll come around eventually, as I always do), but I for one think this whole thing works. This is an animated film and this dress feels nearly animated myself — and the color is dreamy on her.
