This week was a killer. Let’s relax:

This birthday calendar for fictional characters is AWESOME. (Flavorwire)

– This piece about real-life love lessons learned from fictional characters includes Pacey Witter and Laurie from Little Women. Yeah, I thought you’d like that. (Refinery29)

This is a really interesting article from Vulture about the state of the TV recap. I’m not just saying that because the commenters mention that Heather’s Ringer recaps are genius (which they are), but I of course AM biased in favor of recapping because if Heather and I had never worked at Television Without Pity together back in the day NONE OF US WOULD BE HERE NOW.  Recapping The X-Files was one of the most satisfying gigs I’ve ever had, still. I was so young then. So so young…. (Vulture)

– Speaking of Vulture and TV, they also predict some of the best new pilots on tap. (Vulture)

– I don’t think I need to tell you anything more about this story in Smithsonian than the blurb they’ve provided: What Happened to Kalinka Bamberski?: In an exclusive excerpt, read about the mysterious death of a young teenager that inspired a complicated web of European intrigue. You had me at “European intrigue.” (Smithsonian)

– WHAT HATH J LO HEW WROUGHT? Men are now…deep breath…PE-JAZZLING. (New York Times)

This is a fascinating piece about Kanye and Jay-Z. (The Atlantic)

You surely want to see shots of them filming Les Mis, right? I am a little excited about that movie. Even though I have REAL REAL ISSUES with the Anne Hathaway casting. (Lainey Gossip)

– OMG. Burger King is testing a bacon sundae. I love bacon, but STOP THE MADNESS. (Time)

Jennifer Lawrence is great. From this interview: ” I don’t really care about clothes, to be honest. I mean, when I’m on red carpets I’ve started to become more vocal about the things that I want to wear just because it’s better to look at photographs later and like the dress I was wearing, rather than see myself wearing something I was told to wear and which I hate,” and, even better, “I loved working with both Josh and Liam, but as far as Katniss is concerned, I think that with all she has going on, the very bottom of her priorities list is the question of who her next boyfriend is going to be.” Amen, sister.
