I am putting this to a vote because, let’s be totally honest: If Zendaya were wearing it, we’d be like, “WHAT MAGIC IS THIS.”
It’s a crazy pantsuit-type thing, and it’s bright and it’s colorful and it screams Our Lady of the Preternatural Charisma. Gigi Hadid isn’t at that level for me, but she is a very successful model so she’s obviously does that for SOMEONE, so I ask you: Is this working here? The photo service did not denote that she was in the midst of working in this shot, although she does look styled to within an inch of her life (the purse matches TWO colors in the pants/jacket). And she and Kendall definitely like to make the sidewalks their catwalks, so I would believe she’d put this on just to run out for some orange soda and a copy of People’s approximately 145th John F. Kennedy Jr. cover. But I feel like Zendaya would’ve put ON the coat and worn it with some killer heels and made it look like she was on her way someplace thrilling that you also wanted to be. It’s hard not to imagine the possibilities.
