Friends, I know that Valentine’s Day is controversial. Even people who enjoy it can feel like it’s become very high pressure. Personally, I made the executive decision to love Valentine’s Day regardless of whatever’s happening in my personal life, because (a) I am a fan of hearts as a pattern, and (b) I enjoy pink and red, and (c) who doesn’t enjoy half-price candy the day after? and d) one of these days, I’m gonna buy one of these heart-shaped Le Creusets and ONLY serve people heart-shaped foodstuffs. It’s just a good time to buy yourself a little something if you want it. Why wait for someone else to buy you something nice? You’re the one person you’re going to be in a relationship with until you fall into that crevasse, so you might as well treat yourself sweetly.
