So, a couple of years ago, I decided to move back to the suburban area from which I sprang to be closer to my family. It has been a blessing in many, many ways — one of which is that this apartment has some outdoor space, which is a first for me as an adult. I enjoyed this very much before the pandemic, but I’m extremely grateful to have it now, and I’ve spent a lot of my time since March fiddling with it. (Did you know a person could stress-buy Sunbrella cushions in the middle of the night? You do now! Etsy has SO MANY OF THEM, but this is my favorite store.) As we’re about to head into a time of year in much of the US — although not here in Los Angeles! — where it’s bit chilly, this seemed like my last opportunity for a while to talk about Cute Outside Stuff. (And a lot of this stuff is probably about to go on sale.) So let’s do it!

The one thing I’ve bought this summer that has brought me the most joy has been these fake grass rugs, which ARE on sale. They’re VERY nice; they look great and they’re really soft. (They do get a little hot if they’re in full sun for a long time.) I have them on my deck, and it’s so nice to get to feel like I have grass.  I also bought a canvas chair in the famous red Scalamandré zebra pattern from The Inside, and it’s fab, and their customer service was EXCELLENT. (They’re also running a Labor Day sale.) When I moved in, I invested in some Article chairs that they no longer make, but they have some really nice stuff on sale right now, like this GREAT outdoor love seat that would look great on a patio or porch, and this very cute outdoor rocking chair. I’ve also been noodling with my plants a lot, and I’m excited to get some of the neat planters I ordered from Plant Vessel soon. (I also feel like I had to get off that website ASAP or else I might buy like six more planters.)

All of this stuff is cute too! A LOT of it is on sale, or these sites are running promos for Labor Day, so if you like something, click through and check the price:

I also want someone to buy the LL Bean Croquet Boat and Tote — i.e, their famous Boat and Tote designed specifically to carry your croquet set. It does not COME with a croquet set, however — and the reviews of it are amazing. Someone is using it to carry her pie irons; someone else is using it for his chainsaw. PLEASE let the chainsaw guy have gotten it monogrammed!

FYI: GFY always uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you get yourself something new. I can assure you that all items were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking Perrier and watching the US Open.
