When SWINTON hit the dock in Venice today, she did it with a Wakanda Forever salute, and it really played an emo jam on my heartstrings. Dare we imagine that she, too, curled up with Black Panther after the Chadwick Boseman news broke and just cried for everything he did and everything he would have done, and the people he has inspired and will yet inspire to pick up his legacy? I say yes.
She also wore ENORMOUS pants underneath a matching cargo coat with pockets big enough to hold an iPad, and what look like pleather spats over her pumps. But the first thing seemed more emotionally resonant. Still, even in grief, SWINTON will always SWINTON.
