It’s October 1, which means we are all legally allowed to haul out our Halloween gear and enjoy a full month’s worth of spooky shenanigans, if so moved — or, to be more accurate to my own life, we all have plenty of time to treat ourselves to something Halloween-y and still have enough time for it to get here to enjoy it in the two weeks before the holiday when it’s really acceptable to luxuriate in the silliness of spooky season. (My parents have a neighbor who put up like five giant inflatable jack o’lanterns three weeks ago. This person must really love Halloween. Or are just passionate about giant inflatables? I am not a giant inflatable person but this one really makes me laugh.) Personally, I feel like we all have to find fun where we can get it. If that’s buying this insane, expensive punchbowl, so be it. Serve your spouse and kids and pets some punch this weekend! Have punch every day! We’re all just doing our best!

FWIW, I did not buy an insane punchbowl. I just bought some sparkly spider earrings. But I AM tempted by these plates with witches on them. And these cute sheets! I also love these snake candleholders. (My mom had some very cool candlestick holders that look like crows — she used them year round, but they always feel extra Halloween-y to me. I feel like I’m very into taper candles right now.) Honestly, I’d use this black cat pasta bowl year round. I might also use this “Beware” doormat all year, too! And this owl lantern is honestly timeless. (Is this Spooky Village Chateau? Well, it depends on your decor!!!)

There is nothing I love more than shopping for holiday decor! I’m very susceptible to all these things:
