So, I was unsure as to whether I should keep running shopping posts in these fucking insane times — not to put too fine a point on it — but finally I decided that (a) people still need things, (b) y’all might be stress-shopping, and (c) we gotta try to keep the lights on around these parts. But since many of us are home, it seems like we didn’t really need any….outside clothes. (In fact, it might be a good time for you to revisit my post on Work From Home pants, too.) Therefore…house-dresses. I mean that literally: Dresses you can wear around the house. As someone who has worked from home — and also not worked from home — there are just days you don’t want to put on anything with a waistband.
As a note, at the moment Nordstrom is having a 25% off sale; J.Crew is an extra 50% off sale items. (I suspect that retailers may soon downgrade to very delayed shipping because I can’t imagine they want people in their warehouses packing stuff up when they could be home, and that’s very wise. So honestly this could all be theoretical shortly anyway, and merely a housedress to look forward to in the future.)
With that in mind, let’s all just hope for the best:
There are probably a lot of smaller boutiques out there selling lounge-y outfits too, that I just don’t know about, which are currently closed but doing online sales, and if you’d like to share those, please do so in the comments.
