The time has once again come to put on my glasses and sit down with some data to see what items Fug Nation was most likely to invite into their homes this month! My suppositions from looking through all this: A lot of you have cats, or someone in your life who would like cat-themed gifts, and we’re all still enjoying the last bits of summer!
10. I LOVE how many of you bought these very whimsical glass straws with attached teeny balloon dogs. They are irresistible.
9. A lot of you snuck in and nabbed this VERY cute one-piece bathing suit at Old Navy. It’s still on sale and still available! Who knows how long it’s going to be hot, so maybe snatch it up now?
8. Everyone loves tea towels and a lot of folks love cats, hence the popularity of these super cute cat-themed tea towels at Etsy.
7. And I am delighted to see how many of you picked up this sincerely amazing “Astronaut Space Cat Celestial Beer Glass.” IT IS FANTASTIC.
6. A bunch of you are getting ready for fall with Madewell’s classic loafer.
5. Our post of cute cat items for cat lovers did well overall — see the Space Cat glass and the tea towels!! — but this cat-themed planter is still winning the cat-item popularity contest.
4. Travel wear sold well in August, which makes sense — a lot of folks are jamming in the last fun bits of summer, as we could probably also guess from the popularity of that swimsuit. Repeating from last month is this cute “travel dress” at Nordstrom….which is now sold out there, but this seems similar.
2. AND 3. These Eileen Fisher ankle pants at Nordstrom are still going strong — they were on this list last month, too. Great (as previously discussed!) for travel wear. They’re ALSO going strong over at Eileen Fisher’s website. This might be the first time that the same item took up two slots on this list, just at different places. Again: These run large so definitely size down.
1. Finally: By FAR one of our most popular items in recent memory and maybe even this entire year: J.Crew’s silk slip skirt. (I also own this and am very excited to debut it when it cools down a bit.) Various colors are currently on sale! I look forward to seeing y’all out and about in your slip skirt and loafers, drinking out of your car beer glass!
