So, J Ro wore a shorts suit to the premiere of Eat, Pray, Love — very Gwynnie of you, Julia — and held her hands thusly in many, many, many of the shots, as though she is Praying that we will Love it.
Y’all know my feelings vis a vis Formal Shorts, but they’re not REALLY what strikes me here. Several things strike me here, in fact — none of them surely as sharply and with as much force as I deserve — but the one that hits me the the hardest is that her long-sleeved dark jacket and dark shirt feel SO very Winter-y that I get the weather-related version of culture shock when I see that she’s wearing shorts. Her top half is totally going to a luncheon in January, while her bottom half is going to that same event in July.
