I just don’t get this. And by “this,” I don’t mean this outfit — I’ve SEEN this outfit about six thousand times already and it’s actually totally normal for an MTV event, although I actually might argue that the overlay should be shorter for maximum kickiness. This outfit, for the EMAs, on Doja Cat, I actually totally get. 100%. What I don’t get is why a major legacy brand like Givenchy has decided to pivot to a fairly dated point-of-view, which we’ve already seen done better and more interestingly from several other designers over the last several years. It’s quite literally off-brand, and it’s not like it’s so interestingly off-brand that going off-brand makes sense.  What are y’all doing over there?
