This headline is just an assumption but I think it’s an accurate one. The event itself does replace the annual luncheon, which was cancelled because of the wildfires, and for sure some of the men here just scooched their assigned suit down the rack for tonight. (There are a crazy lot of parties this week, as you can imagine. Yes, the Oscars are Sunday.) Of the acting nominees Karla Sofía Gasćon obviously skipped this event, though she is meant to come to the Oscars proper. We also didn’t see red carpet pics of Felicity Jones, Ed Norton, Kieran Culkin, or Yura Borisov –although Borisov and Norton are in the class picture.Everyone else who attended seemed to be having a blast, though — after all, who skips the opportunity to talk papal politics with Ralph Fiennes this week?! NOT I.

It’s SO BIG, you can’t really tell what’s happening here but the BBC broke it down. I love how many of the big acting nominees are just kicking it in the back row. I see you, Demi!!
