The “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibit is opening up at The Brooklyn Museum, so Fashion Week kicked off with a big party and a preview, to which Dior invited some familiar faces (Kristin Davis, Yara Shahidi, Lorde) and some of the next wave of starlets. With Jennifer Lawrence no longer the red-carpet fixture she once was AND no longer really repping Brash Kids Today (she’s pregnant now), Dior is probably trying to freshen up its image by adding some of the new Youngs — by which I literally mean the upcoming Young Colin Kaepernick AND Young Michelle Obama, for example. Plus a star of Spielberg’s West Side Story, Cousin Greg from Succession, three of the new Gossip Girl gang, and someone from Netflix’s Outer Banks. It’s a really good thing we don’t cover this anymore; we’d spend our entire night jotting down easy-reference nicknames for these people and hoping we could figure out who they are later.
