CinemaCon basically seems like TCAs for the summer and fall movie tentpoles, and it seems to be in Vegas, which may explain why it’s a decent celebrity draw. Between this and Sundance, we’ve seen so much about the Emma Thompson/Mindy Kaling flick Late Night that I almost can’t believe it hasn’t come out yet. (June 7, if you’re curious.) Having said that, I’d be fine with Emma Thompson doing a full year-plus of public appearances for it, because nobody seems to suck the marrow out of life the way she does.
