I wondered in Monday’s issue of Drinks With Broads if Cate Blanchett might be kind of…annoying???…this awards season, but you know what’s NOT annoying? Her rewearing all this good stuff from the archives. I loved this Givenchy look then, and I love it now. Also noteworthy: She and Nina Hoss seem to be absolutely delighted by each other, which honestly makes me think that maybe my thesis is incorrect! It would not be the first time.
PS: Cate first wore this look at the same Cannes at which she wore this INSANELY GOOD Mary Katrantzou, DEAR GOD PLEASE WEAR THAT TO THE OSCARS. She…might do that, right? I can picture her doing that. (Although honestly there are a TON of dresses in her red carpet retrospective that she might dig out again.)
