There are two kinds of movie premieres — actually, that’s a lie. There are many different kinds of movie premieres. But there are two kinds of movie premieres that I wish to address today: Premieres only attended by those contractually obligated to do so and their beloveds, and premieres that everyone calls in favors to attend because they really want to see the movie and/or know it’s going to get big coverage.
