I am always surprised Victoria’s Secret still exists, and/or bothers with this event anymore — and in fact, apparently they have NOT done it in six years. It seems extremely beside the point of any cultural conversation other than, “Oh right, wasn’t one of the execs SUPER gross?” (Yes.) But I guess 12 million people once watched this thing, and they’re hoping a big turnout on Prime Video and YouTube will make people want to buy their underwear… which apparently they could do right away, live, on their website and through Amazon. Sadly this does not include any of the wings. That said, while the celebrity front row turnout is pretty weak — LOTS of influencers I cannot care about, and do not, and didn’t download — and mostly clad in as little as possible, they got very famous models: Kate Moss, the Hadids, Carla Bruni, Ashley Graham, and none other than Ms. Tyra Banks, walking in her first of these since 2005. Will I watch it? No! The clips I saw on Instagram looked excruciating. But we can amuse ourselves on this Wednesday with pictures.
