The BAFTA nominations are coming out on Thursday. I don’t know if this tea party is designed so that they can invite the most possible people — as in, before nominations winnow the field too much — or if they just like a January bash in Los Angeles, or what. Did they even serve tea? Did they serve food on a TABLE OF LIES? We may never know. But it had a good guest list, and yes, by the way, while I know it is not the original reference, I AM singing the headline as if it’s “Ain’t no party like my grandma’s tea party” from Flight of the Conchords’ “Hiphopapotamus vs Rhymenocerous.” It just seemed important to share.
