I’ve had a VERY literate weekend. I decided on Friday to take Twitter off my phone and I basically just shut down my electronics for 36 hours. It was much much needed. I read a bunch of books. I wouldn’t recommend a few of them — nothing I read was actively harmful, but some of it was dopey — but I definitely recommend Tara Westover’s Educated, if you haven’t already read it already. It is astonishing. I also zipped though and loved Jo Piazza’s new book, Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win. I wasn’t sure I was emotionally in the mood for a book about the slings and arrows of running for office as a woman, but I really enjoyed it.
