If you follow me on Instagram, this is something I was talking about recently — namely that although I am generally a voracious reader, I’ve had the worst issues getting through a book lately. I pick them up, read two pages, and then put them down before I drift over to Twitter to see what crazy thing has happened in the world recently and then I fall into that whole wormhole and into an anxiety spiral. As someone who loves to read so much, this has been very unpleasant for me. The good news is that last weekend, I read four books, and I feel as if I’ve been knocked out of my non-reading rut. (The books I read were Sarah Dunn’s The Arrangement, Maurene Goo’s I Believe In a Thing Called Love, E. Lockhart’s newest, Genuine Fraud, and the new J Courtney Sullivan book, Saints for All Occasions; I recommend them all, although the last three aren’t quite out yet.)

So my question is: What do you do when you get in a reading rut? What’s gotten you out of one lately?
