In our quest to guess whom we might see in Venice — y’all, Cynthia Erivo is a juror and I CANNOT WAIT — I looked up the film list, and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directing debut The Lost Daughter is premiering there. It’s based on the Elena Ferrante book, and Dakota is in it, so she’s my first guess. And she has been to Venice before, so WHAT-HO, mateys, SLIDESHOW AHOY. (Yes, this is the back of her dress, but it was dramatic. I made a choice.)
