Apparently Ingrid Goes West is about a woman who, essentially, stalks and insinuates herself in to the life of her favorite Instagram star — kind of a Single White Female for the social media era (which was probably the pitch line, and the fact that I therefore sound like such a wheeler-dealer makes me feel a little gross). So, a hearty Well Played all around to the two stars for having a little fun with that premise, akin to when Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis played old rivals in You Again and pulled a similar gag at their premiere.
For one thing, the dress is adorable on them both — I enjoy that the only real difference is that one is silver and the other’s gold; if I had to pick one, I might go with Elizabeth — but also, Do As Sigourney Weaver Does is not such a bad rule of thumb.
