There is nothing more amusing to me than the image of Diana, Princess of Wales — at this point, still married to Chaz, though he had started up again with Camilla (per this old BBC article about a confrontation the women had at a party for Camilla’s sister’s birthday [how irritating of Charles to take Diana to a party for his mistress’s sister]) — getting an embossed invite to Back to the Future III, of all things, and saying aloud to the room, “I do like that Marty McFly. I’M GOING. Someone ring Catherine Walker! Bead the hell out of it, Catherine!”
