Dreamin’ Wild is a dopey name for a movie — before I looked up the plot, I assumed it was one of those shlocky semi-religious flicks about a girl whose horse performs miracles, or whose mother is reincarnated in her lucky guitar. Not so! It actually sounds low-key interesting: Two brothers make a record together as teens in their garage, for fun; cut to, the intervening decades have taken them in other directions, and then their album is discovered by the Internet and reviewed on Pitchfork. I really like Walton Goggins and Beau Bridges! I don’t mind Zooey either! But I am not wild about Casey Affleck. I suspect this is one I’ll catch on a streamer, if I stumble on it and I’ve run out of Virgin River.
