Please feel free to be fluid in your definition of “sandwich.” I will accept anything that is sandwich ADJACENT, including an amazing hot dog (which are not sandwiches) or an exceptional quesadilla. I think the best sandwich I’ve ever had is the club sandwich at the lobby bar at the Algonquin hotel. (Hotel club sandwiches are the best club sandwiches, no?) I think of it fondly often. Can you tell I haven’t had lunch yet? Inspire me!
