I feel like I could tell people that this was an AFI salute to Cate Blanchett, but that Cate Blanchett got stuck in Australia and asked Amy Ryan to impersonate her, and she did, and people would believe me. I now wish this were the case. Let’s just start this rumor. People can’t prove it’s not true. (I mean they can, but we can gaslight them about it.) It’ll be fun.
