Do we think Nicole was nervous about having to speak on-stage? Her posture seems REALLY coiled, as if she was either tense or just crammed into a dress that had no room for error nor rogue breaths. It doesn’t APPEAR overly snug, though around the chest it’s sitting just low enough that maybe she’s concerned something will pop out if she reaches out for any enthused hugs.

This dress appears to have been developed from a Dior runway version that was a see-through halter-caftan with pink-striped undercrackers. And she really must have LOVED that decal, because all she kept was the fabric, the pink tinge, and that. It kind of reminds me of the stained-glass introduction to the original animated Beauty and the Beast — the beautiful enchantress rising out of the face of the old wizened hag. Or maybe it’s symbolizing that women are spreading their wings but also wearing armor. Or… honestly, it’s possible that the Dior designer was just like, “I see… it’s coming to me, the finishing touch… a LADY NIPPLE BIRD,” and everyone clapped and did a shot of absinthe.
