In Matchbox news, Jessica Biel crossed the pond for the UK premiere, and picked out a Nensi Dojaka dress that feels like a flagrant knockoff of the Rick Owens Prong dress. I give an A+ to her shoulders and torso, but I’d have dug up the original; it’s better. This also could’ve taken a stronger lip, but I applaud the earrings, which remind me a bit of Desperately Seeking Susan. I hope no one follows her around to try and steal them.

Maybe Jessica WAS channeling that movie, because I’m pretty sure Madonna wears a black lacy top in that movie, although not one as extreme as this:

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - October 06, 2026

I was going to say this is an odd choice to promote a kids’ movie, but she wore it on late-night TV, and I don’t think the Matchbox target demographic is staying up to watch any of the Jimmys. I also can’t imagine wanting to sit next to either of them in front of a studio audience wearing tiny boob triangles, but that is but one of many reasons I am not a celebrity. My boob triangles are my own private kingdom.

If you’re tracking the John Cena aspect of these premieres, I have good news:

Everything is in order on this front, and the idea of using that box as a handbag — or having a handbag made in the image of that box — is adorable. And also perhaps a subtle reminder, for those of us who just squawked about Hot Wheels being the more famous brand, that Matchbox got there 15 years earlier and doesn’t NEED your fancy plastic neon tracks to be cool because it has its name on a movie about nuclear terrorism!!! TAKE THAT.
