In keeping with today’s accidental hit-and-a-miss theme, here is Billie at the premiere of her concert film, except I this this single outfit might be both a hit AND a miss? I love the suiting on her, and that it’s a hair more tailored than she usually prefers, at least from the top to about halfway down. Often it feels like she’s swimming in a sweatsuit; this has more panache. But it also has way too much happening: a navy jacket, I think, and then a striped navy and grey tie, a crisp medium-blue shirt, grey slouchy pants that seem a touch short, and black and cream low-profile sneakers that almost pass as dance shoes. I think she needed wingtips to finish this — but definitely not in black. So, in a macro sense, I like this approach for her. In a micro sense, I wish I had only seen it from the waist up.
