Some of these gowns are very pretty, but it’s hard to get past the musty decision to put the models in front of an ornate couch and a cheesy curtain, like they’re in the private shopping room at a ritzy but out-of-touch department store. His designs definitely can veer into Mother of the Bride, and then swing back into pageant, but with some pretty stuff in between. Fresh styling and a lively venue would make a HUGE difference for a lot of them.
