There are a lot of great sparkles and shiny things in this post — Taylor Swift looks super — but I had to lead off with Viola, who was snubbed by the Oscars only to rise like a phoenix and snag a Grammy for her audiobook reading of her memoir, Finding Me. (Her Oscar and one of two Tonys were for Fences, and her Emmy, for How To Get Away With Murder.) GET IT, VIOLA. And I believe she got to present the Grammy to BeyoncĂ© for “Cuff It” that BeyoncĂ© missed because she was in traffic, meaning she actually handed it to the legendary Nile Rodgers. She might win another Emmy someday for playing herself in the HBO Max series about this traffic jam.
